I almost couldve given a good review-if it weren't for the filthy bathroom and that rancid smell, was it gunpowder? I mean, who doesn't appreciate a good shower with hair in it? A warm welcome and some special treatment after complaints woudl ve been nice, too. This isn't a budget motel, after all.

The staff were very nice and nothing was a problem.The motel was nice and close to town and restaurants.
It was noisy and there was nowhere to hang things in the shower or bathroom.

The best part were the excellent and attentive staff. The location was marvellous and comfortable, about 10-minute walk into town. Shopping centres and a supermarket were right next door.

Charming Oamaru adventures 🐧
Good location, clean kitchen area, and a comfy bed that gave the feeling of a solid hug. We could take strolls to nearby shops and restaurants, that was lekker. Got a proper dose of those little blue penguins later!
Had a bit of noise from the chommies next door, but nothing too wild.

Our good sized and compact room was complete with queen bed and space around bed plus a bath. The breakfast was generous, they make lots of meals.

Culinary adventures were on point with nearby gems like India Garden for delicious curry and Golden Island Chinese Restaurant whipping up mouthwatering dishes. The Compact Studio had a comfy bed and shower pressure that amazed-perfect for freshening up after a day of exploration.
The facilities were pretty basic, and the bathroom vibe was grimy-had a few unwanted surprises. The check-in experience was a hassle, as I couldn't get in early despite calling ahead. I had to deal with toxic smells from cleaning products too.
